Talkin' and a-readin'. Readin' and a-talkin'.
Comic-Con is bearing down fast. Faster than I am comfortable with.
Tomorrow will be the first of four appearances that I'll be doing this summer for the local Indigo bookstore branches, as part of their Summer Reading series. Since this is (kind of?) a new thing for them, I'm a little apprehensive that it'll be one of those things where I'll be talking to an audience of just a couple of people. But in the long term, we're all hoping this will pay off, once word gets out that Indigo is doing Good Things for the younger readers. So, um, yeah. Come check it out, if you have an afternoon to spare.

Artist's carry on luggage
As you know, I'll be heading out to San Diego Comic Con near the end of this month. I just talked to someone at the TSA about bringing Copic marker refills on the airplane in carry on luggage, from their rules they don't have a problem with it but I was informed that if a security screener has their underwear in a knot that day, they could be confiscated. Has anyone else in the artist community traveled with Copic marker refills? Any problems?
Not sure if I want to ship them but I might have to check luggage with them in that. Not sure. =/

Hi this is really me
I'm not sure what's going on, but somehow my Live Journal was hacked. It doesn't look like they've changed my settings or anything like that, but instead attacked my credibility by making hateful comments in communities.
I've changed my password to something even I have trouble typing, so hopefully this will never happen again. I'm so mortified that this has happened at all.
I'm trying to locate all of their comments, but if I miss any, please accept my sincerest apologies. I would never say anything like that.

Okee-doke, two things to cover real quick: First off, I'm selling all of my PVC Justice Society and Justice League of America figures over on eBay. I sort of hate to get rid of them, but I just have no room to display them anywhere, and they've been sitting in a box for the last year and a half. SO! Wildcat, Green Lantern, Johnny Thunder, Dr.Mid-Nite, Aquaman, and a bunch of other figures all over on my eBay merchant space; if nothing else, they're neat figures, you ought to go over and check 'em out. I find the Spectre in particular to be a really nicely designed piece.

The truly excellent Wasted Words podcast is now accepting new questions for their Ask The Bartender segment, you can learn more here, and enter to win fabulous prizes (that is a blatant lie, there are no prizes). POLL: Book Release Party This Saturday in NYC @ Peculier Pub
http://www.goats.com/forums/news/6579/ If I have not been clear about this in the past, let me be clear now: THERE WILL BE A GOATS BOOK RELEASE PARTY THIS SATURDAY, AT 2PM, IN NEW YORK CITY. And you are all invited!
The party is at The Peculier Pub, at the corner of Bleecker Street and LaGuardia. There will be discounted drinks for the first few hours (I suspect this event may run rather late) so don't show up too fashionably late if you want to take advantage of $3 beers and the like.
I'll be selling and sketching in Goats: Infinite Typewriters books while drinking, so you'll get to see the devolution of my drawing abilities firsthand. We'll also have some Diablo action figures and some prints on hand for your purchase-related enjoyment.
Anyhow, if you're not doing anything please come on down, have a few beers and hang out and meet your fellow Goats readers. (I suspect there will be at least a couple of other webcomics people there as well.)
When you get to the Pub come see me and let me know you're there so i make sure you get the SPECIAL SECRET ITEM that lets you drink for cheap.

heyy i have my first solo show tomorrow! it's been kind of stressful preparing for it, because i was only invited to do it like two weeks ago. i have 40 pieces currently framed and ready to go, and we're hanging it tonight. there will be live music, refreshments, and free buttons. i'm kind of nervous.
this is happening in madison, wi.
